It is with great disappointment that I must share with you the news that the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services (OSDE-SES) rejected all proposals we submitted to them to continue providing the Assistive Technology Program for Oklahoma Public Schools.
The three proposals we submitted provided between a 20-65% decrease in cost while maintaining a range of Assistive Technology Services commensurate to the amount of the proposal.
Our understanding is that OSDE-SES has contracted with Oklahoma ABLE-Tech to provide limited assistive technology services, but these services will not include on-site Assistive Technology Consultations, Level I Assistive Technology Team Trainings, Assistive Technology Computer Lab Trainings, the Assistive Technology Expo, or Assistive Technology Technical Assistance Trainings provided upon the direct request of LEA's.
If you have questions about Assistive Technology Services available for students with disabilities in Oklahoma, please contact:

It has been a pleasure and honor to serve students with disabilities, their families, and the tireless teachers and school staff who work so hard to provide a Free and Appropriate Public Education.
