In 1995, staff members at the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center began creating thematic based curricular activities to help teachers who work with students who have alternative learning needs. The activities in these units are aligned with the Curriculum Access Resource Guide-Alternate (CARG-A) objectives for Oklahoma students. Because of our contract with the Oklahoma State Department of Education, Special Education Services, we are able to provide these resources free of charge! The units are also available on CD for a minimal charge. Please visit our store for ordering details.
The activities in these units were created with a variety of software programs which are needed in order to open and use the activities. BM = Boardmaker – To view, download, print, and/or modify the activities created with Boardmaker® you must have a working copy of this program (with the CD installed). Boardmaker offers a free 30 day trial version of this program which can be downloaded from the company website at www.mayerjohnson.com. ITCS = Intellitools Classroom Suite - If you own the current version of Classroom Suite, you should be able to open and use any activity. IntelliTools Classroom Suite offers a free 30 day trial version of this program which can be downloaded from the company website at www.intellitools.com.
