Materials Needed

Letter-sized file folder

Post-It-Self-Stick Bulletin Board

Either:

Non-Slip Shelf Liner

OR FOR MORE STABILITY:

Dycem – which is a non-slip plastic available from

www.sammonspreston.com

or

1” masking or plastic tape

Stay Put Folder

The Stay Put Folder provides a non-skid, adhesive service for keeping papers in place while writing.

To use:

·Place the shelf liner side on the desk or other writing surface.

·Place a sheet of writing paper on the other side, with the sticky Post-it Bulletin Board material facing the student.

Directions

  • Measure the height and width of the folder. Cut off the extra tab on the folder.

  • Cut a piece of the Self-Stick Bulletin Board material smaller than the height and width of the folder.

  • Cut a piece of the shelf liner smaller than the height and width of the folder.

  • With the folder closed, center the shelf liner on the folder and tape around the corners at the top and the bottom to secure to the folder.

  • Peel the plastic cover off of the self-stick bulletin board material.

  • Turn the folder over. Center the self-stick bulletin board material on and secure with tape at the top and bottom.
