Technical Assistance

As of June 30, 2013, the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center no longer has a contract with the Oklahoma State Deartment of Education to provide the Assistive Technology Program for Oklahoma Public Schools.

A proposal to continue providing services to Oklahoma Public Schools was submitted to OSDE and is currently under review.

Until further notice, OATC is not scheduling Level II Trainings for the 2013-14 school year.

OATC staff may provide technical assistance to Oklahoma Public schools through a variety of services such as:

  • answering general questions specific to AT assessment, intervention, or device use,
  • providing on-site classroom consultations at schools request,
  • providing on-site technical assistance related to an AT device or system at school's request,
  • providing on-site technical assistance to Level I assistive technology resource teams, and
  • providing technical assistance as follow up to advanced level trainings (Level II)
