Trainings

OATC offers a variety of AT trainings year-round for professionals working in early intervention, Oklahoma public schools, and the work/community environments.

COMPUTER LAB TRAININGS

Computer lab trainings provide hands-on assistive technology opportunities to Oklahoma public school personnel and families of students with disabilities. These labs seek to promote the use of AT in the classroom and enhance the student’s ability to access the general curriculum. In general, an average of ten lab trainings is scheduled each school year for teachers, related service personnel, and family members to attend. These trainings may be offered at either the Tulsa or Oklahoma City offices. Programs such as Boardmaker, PowerPoint, SOLO, Classroom Suite, and some AAC devices are common topics for trainings; however, the programs and devices covered will vary year to year based on advancements in technology and public interest.
