RiverDeep free Downloads
This site provides a host of free programs you can download and explore that teach skills in academic areas such as critical thinking, language arts, math, science, and so on, for Pre-K through Grade 12.

School Expression
(Win & Mac) If you don’t mind all the ad pop-ups, this site has a large number of readymade, simple worksheets on most all academic subjects.

Software:

SpellMaker
(Win & Mac) A comprehensive computer based ‘drill & practice’ spelling program, for less than $20.00 (or $75.00 for all the computers in a school!).

Internet Sites:

British Broadcasting System
On-line language and reading activities. It also has pencil and paper worksheets to be downloaded and printed.

Brain Pop
A site that has educational animated movies that discuss topics related to English, Science, Math, Health, Technology, etc., for the K-12 grades. You can access some of the movies free on-line; some services require payment of a subscription fee.

Education World
You can use Microsoft PowerPoint to create interactive presentations containing text, art, animation, and audio and video elements. An online tutorial will get you started using PowerPoint and teaching your students how to use PowerPoint in the classroom.

Enchanted Learning
Enchanted Learning produces children's educational web sites and games which are designed to capture the imagination while maximizing creativity, learning, and enjoyment.

Fun Brain
A site that provides a variety of interactive learning activities such as games and quizzes for grades K-8.

IEP 4 U
has over 4000 free Goals and Objectives (IEP-ITP) each with changeable benchmarks. The Idea Statements are spread out over seven subjects (Domains) and four functional levels.

Kid Pix How To
Another online KidPix tutorial. More in-depth than the previously listed tutorial.

Onion Mountain Technology
Great website by Judy Sweeney to give you tools, techniques, and strategies that help kids learn and grow to the best of their abilities. Browsers can get information about AT consultations, evaluations, training, workshops and presentations as well as a full line of low and mid tech tools in the LoTTIE Kit (Low Tech Tools for Inclusive Education) product line. Go to the “Services” section and click on “AT information” to download free forms relating to how students learn and organize information best and how AT can be used to meet individual learning styles and needs.

Windows to the Universe
A fun, interactive site that teaches kids about space science and provides lessons written at multiple reading levels.

Quiz Center
Site that allows you to create, administer, and grade quizzes online free. This site allows you to make online quizzes that provide instant feedback to the students and teacher.

QuizStar
Another site that allows you to create, administer, and grade quizzes online free, or you can use quizzes already available to test knowledge in a content area
